Useful Info...

At Travel Angels we put looking after our customers at the top of our list and here we have some key pointes that we think you may find useful...

When choosing your destination price maybe important but over the years we have seen the most disappointed holidaymakers are the ones that put price before choosing the right destination for their requirements.

Make sure the temperature suits you that the resort is not to busy or quiet for you , that the hotel has the facilities you need and that you understand the cost implication of the board type you have selected. Our friendly experienced staff will be happy to talk through holiday ideas before you book.

Before booking your holiday make sure you have an up to date passport preferably with 6 months or more.

When booking you will need to ensure you enter the first name and surname of each passenger – now some of your friends or relatives may use nick names or their second or third name as their preferred everyday name – YOU CAN NOT USE THAT NAME – you must check with everyone exactly how their name is styled on their current passport. Once you book there are charges up to 100% to change a name so it can be a costly mistake!

Countries have a varying amount of red tape in order for you to enter their territory make sure you have checked what you need BEFORE you leave for the holiday – failure to have the correct documentation could mean you being refused permission to travel and again this could cost you 100% of what you have paid – if in doubt chat through the requirement for your destination with our friendly staff.

Also check if there is an arrival or departure tax – this can be a shock if you have not budgeted for it!

Travel Insurance is an essential part of modern day travel it is not something you should treat lightly or cut corners on. In the unlikely event of a problem whilst overseas insurance comes into its own – but it is important to understand exactly what you are covered for and what documents you need to claim – also make sure you take the policy out at the time of booking to cover you for cancellation charges which can be expensive. Always declare any pre existing medical conditions that you may have and of course remember you must declare the conditions of you nearest and dearest.

If you are flying make sure you know what the baggage restrictions are for your flight and keep within them and when checking make sure you check that the destination tag on your case is correct for the destination you are going to – if that is wrong you may never see your case again. Make sure it is also labelled with your next address.

When flying drink plenty of water and watch the alcohol dehydration on a flight is not nice!
